Shadows in the Corner...

My life...
it is so different now.
Walking home-
to my car-
to my home-
where my boys are waiting...
half-asleep - waiting for the close of the garage door and
the kiss on the cheek that says
"I'm home" "I'm safe" "I love you."
So blessed am I to be so loved
So happy am I that my life...
it is so different now...
As I walk home...
thinking - Should I stop in and say
"I'm so sorry to see about Ed. I
always liked him. He was a good
friend." Shadows - around every corner -
fun times - the bars had different owners -
the girls cold -
in tank tops -
i would know them -
don't they know it's 4 degrees out - oh honey - you'll catch your death...
My life -
it is so different now...
and - I am so grateful -
so happy -
so loved -
so in love -
and so, so glad to be looking forward -
while enjoying - every minute
today, tomorrow - they are what matter -
the past -
shadows in the corner...
